Tybee Island’s International Beach Party 2012

September is such an awesome time to be in Tybee Island, especially on the 15th for the season’s largest beach bash — The International Beach Party!  It all happens at the North Beach of Tybee on September 15, 2012 from 4:00 pm – 11:59 pm and will be jam packed with exciting events including live music from a National Recording Artist, cutting edge DJ’s, local food vendors and food trucks.

Want to know who the National Recording Artist is? — It’s American Idol winner, Ruben Studdard!!  Ruben will be joined by recording artist Trevor Hall.  Oh, and did I mention that this whole event is free and open to the public?!  The North Beach of Tybee is less than 10 minutes from us here at the 17th Street Inn.  The party kicks off with local groups, then finishes with Ruben.  It’s going to be so much fun and there will be plenty of space to dance so bring as many friends as you can find!

The International Beach Party is a celebration of the Savannah Ocean Exchange 2012 theme LEAP to ZERO+ and our amazing natural wonder, Our Ocean and kicks off a week-long schedule of events and activities, called the Inspiration Exchange, hosted by the SOE.  The Inspiration Exchange is designed to celebrate the arts and culture of coastal living throughout Savannah.

There is a wide variety of things to do in September here in Tybee Island, and since it’s our off-season, you can expect less crowded beaches a quieter atmosphere.  Flip flops are always welcome here in Tybee and don’t forget your cameras!

There is never a shortage of fun and things to do in Tybee so pack your bags and we’ll see you when you get here!

Contact us here at the 17th Street Inn for more information about staying with us, things to do on Tybee Island including dining, nightlife, beach activities, must see attractions and events, and any other questions you may have about the area!  We would also love for you to connect with us on our Facebook Page.
